Course Overview:

This G2 Pre-Exam Review Course is designed for individuals preparing to write the Gas Technician 2 (G2) certification exam and looking to refresh and strengthen their understanding of the required material.

​

The course focuses on Modules 10 to 24, including key technical concepts, safety procedures, and a review of Ontario codes, acts, and regulations that are essential for passing the G2 exam. This review is theory-based only and is ideal for those who have already completed G2 training or have relevant field experience.

​

Note: This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Who Should Enroll:

  • Individuals with prior G2 training or field experience

  • Those approved by T.S.S.A. to challenge the exam

  • Students who have previously attempted the G2 exam and need a knowledge boost

  • This course is not suitable for students whose G2 training has expired or who have failed the certification exam three times.

  • Installation, service, and troubleshooting of appliances up to 400,000 Btuh

  • Combustion, venting, gas piping, and appliance controls

  • Relevant regulatory codes: B149.1, B149.2, and Ontario-specific Acts & Regulations

  • Theory exam may be arranged through QuickFast Service Academy (subject to T.S.S.A. eligibility)

  • Practical challenge exam must be scheduled directly through T.S.S.A. with their approval

  • T.S.S.A. letter of approval required for challenge candidates

  • CSA B149.2 – Propane Storage & Handling Code
